TMZ Reporter ignores Frankie Edgar, to talk to ‘BASS’ Rutten

TMZ, are you even trying anymore? Who is feeding your reporters information? Because they are making you look really dumb while they are pounding the pavement. In this episode of “Brick City: Population, TMZ”, a TMZ reporter looks right past Frankie Edgar to talk to ‘BASS’ Rutten about Conor McGregor.

How do you blow off Frankie Edgar and then pronounce Bas Rutten’s name incorrectly? Then, ask this MMA legend about his thoughts on Conor McGregor? That is such a 2018 MMA thing to do. This is where we are in MMA right now. While the sport is very big, it’s mainly just the most casual of fans are who are interested. This video is a microcosm of MMA, today.

About five cringe-worthy moments, capped with a Conor McGregor question.

The Bas Rutten Experiment. Episode Two (Bas Diapers)

The Bas Rutten Experiment. Episode Two (Bas Diapers)

The Bas Rutten Experiment, episode two is here. He brings his own brand of sketch comedy to the small screen, as only he can. Despite how Rutten seems to have fun in these videos, I can’t help but think that he is still about to snap.

Once again, the show starts out with El Guapo pitching his ideas to the two marketing suits in the office. Of course, things go awry when Rutten suggests adult diapers with his name on them. “Bas Diapers”.

“I don’t really know if we want Bas’ name attached to a product that people are going to be defecating in.”

I wonder if this was what Rutten saw for himself when he thought about ‘crossing over’ from MMA to acting.

Sketch comedy. The Bas Rutten Experiment- Episode One

The king of sketch comedy is back today with his new Netflix special. Yes, Dave Chappelle is finally back! The same day as his return, he finds himself with some hefty comedy competition. Episode 1 of the Bas Rutten Experiment has officially been released.

Champions.Co is behind this gem of a webisode, where Bas seemingly has free reign to do whatever he wants. Bas has been tickling the MMA fan’s funny-bone since his days in Pride. His best stuff always comes when he is allowed to do things his way.

By the looks of this video, Bas got the green light with no restrictions.

Episode 2 comes out in one week.

ICYMI – The time Bas Rutten and Michael Bisping lost it on Inside MMA. Kind of.

Inside MMA

Look up uncomfortable in the dictionary, and you’d see Ron Kruck in this video

Inside MMA was one of the best MMA related shows ever to air.  The fact that it is gone now, is tremendously sad to me. I watched week in and week out. Bas Rutten is amazing, and he and Kenny Rice had countless amazing interviews and hilarious moments during the show’s run. This was one of my favorites. Michael Bisping and Bas Rutten lose it. Kind of.

Bas can be a bit of a feisty one, and Michael Bisping will take a backseat to nobody. So when these two got heated during their interview, it looked as if Ron Kruck wanted to cry.  Bas starts by asking Bisping if he’s spat on anyone lately, going back to when Bisping spit at Jorge Rivera’s corner after their UFC fight.

Things go from bad to worse, and Kruck tries to simmer things down, and Bas tells him sternly to be quiet.  The argument goes on for a bit and gets very heated.  Check out the video to see how it all ended.

Real Quick, Retro Pick: Mirko Cro Cop scares the life out of Mauro Ranallo

Real Quick, Retro Pick: Mirko Cro Cop scares the life out of Mauro Ranallo

Apparently, it sucked to be the new guy in Pride. Such was the case for new Pride announcer, Mauro Ranallo. At his expense, Bas Rutten and Mirko Cro Cop decided to have some fun with him.

As you can tell from the video, there was nothing fun about the situation for Mauro. Ranallo, who looks as if he’s never so much as punched a heavy bag in his entire life, gets roasted by Cro Cop. Not only was Mirko’s size intimidating, but at that time he was one of the top 3 heavyweights in the world. On top of that, he had a stoic Croatian demeanor. All of these variables contributed to the perfect shit storm to ruin Ranallo’s day.

While the video is hilarious, you still feel kind of bad for Ranallo. Bas was just playing a prank on him and Cro Cop executed it perfectly. In fact, it was too perfect.

Bas Rutten and Chris Weidman shine in “Kevin Can Wait” blooper reel

Bas Rutten and Chris Weidman shine in Kevin Can Wait blooper reel

Mixed martial artists are no strangers to the world of acting. We reported yesterday that Ronda Rousey will be making her return to television later this year. But earlier this week MMA legend and UFC Hall of Famer Bas Rutten and former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman appeared on the hit CBS show, Kevin Can Wait, starring Kevin James.

This actually isn’t the first time Rutten and James have graced the screen together. The two co-starred alongside one another in the 2012 MMA comedy Here Comes the Boom, which Rutten is amazing in.

This week’s appearance is also the second time both Rutten and Weidman have appeared on the CBS comedy. Some of the funniest moments of any TV show never make the cut. Luckily for us, CBS has released a short blooper reel from Rutten and Weidman’s episode, which is titled, “Neighborhood Watch”.

Check out the blooper reel below.

Kevin Can Wait airs Mondays at 8:30pm EST on CBS.
