Bellator 198: Fedor vs. Mir Weigh-in results and video

Bellator 198 Weigh-in

Today was the Bellator 198 official weigh-ins, here’s what took place.

Tomorrow night Fedor Emelianenko and Frank Mir will step into the cage as part of Bellator’s Heavyweight Grand Prix. Today was the Bellator 198 Weigh-in and the main card went down just as expected. Gerald Harris, who is stepping in for John Salter on short notice accepted a 188 pound catchweight and successfully made that weight.

Fedor Emelianenko tipped the scales at 240 pounds while Frank Mir weighed in at 261.5. Mir has a size advantage but seems to be in the best shape when he weighs in around 250 lbs. It will be an interesting heavyweight clash to say the least.

Bellator 198 Press Conference

Today the fighters were on hand for the Bellator 198 Press Conference

The fighters from Bellator 198 were on stage today answering questions from the media as part of the Bellator 198 Press Conference. Then, everyone posed for faceoffs ahead of Saturday’s event. Fedor and Frank Mir sat on either side of Scott Coker and as expected Fedor had less to say than his opponent Frank Mir.

John Salter was forced off of the card with an injury and Gerald Harris stepped up on short notice. He’s obviously excited to get in the cage on a high profile show and try and earn a huge victory. If he’s able to defeat the undefeated Rafael Lovato Jr, he will immediately find himself in the mix in the Bellator Middleweight division.

You can watch the press conference in its entirety below.

Bellator 198 takes place Saturday Night. The card is available here.
