If you missed it, Iron Michael Chandler Arm-Triangle chokes Brandon Girtz

If you missed Bellator 197 on Friday night, you missed Iron Michael Chandler putting Brandon Girtz to sleep. Girtz didn’t tap to the arm-triangle choke that Chandler put on him and woke up after the main event of Bellator 197 had ended. There is no doubting Girtz’ toughness and there is certainly no doubt that Chandler is one of the best lightweights in the world.

Chandler slapped on the choke and Girtz attempted to buck him off. When doing so, Girtz created space on his left side, which allowed Chandler to hop over and really sink the choke in. Incredible finish by Chandler to cap off Bellator 197.

Hopefully, with this win, Chandler can get the Brent Primus rematch. Again.

Watch the jaw-dropping instant classic between Campos and Girtz

Campos and Girtz

Bellator 181 featured a main event for the ages. Violence, blood, and lots of it.

Last night Bellator held an event on Spike TV. It more or less flew under the radar, after the hoopla of Bellator NYC. That said, nobody told the main event fighters it wasn’t the big stage. Derek Campos and Brandon Girtz came out and put on an amazing fight. It’s undoubtedly on the short list for fight of the year. Campos and Girtz laid it all on the line.

It was the third time these two have met in the cage, and to be completely honest, I want more. How about a best of seven series, because they don’t disappoint. The fight is action-packed, full of blood and glorious violence. Settle in, and watch in awe.

Here are the results from Bellator 181.
