Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones go back and forth while Stann mediates

Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones

DC and Jon Jones are ready to settle this once and for all.

Last night during UFC on FOX 25, Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones had a sit-down interview via satellite with Brian Stann. Cormier seemed pretty calm and collected while Jon Jones seemed agitated and on edge. When the interview ended, Jones immediately stood up and walked off set.

The two rivals have been signed to face each other five times and each time something kept them from meeting in the cage. Not to jinx anything, but we’re less than a week away at this point, and things are looking pretty good. It’s a fight for the ages, basically, if you’re a fan of the sport, it’s must-see TV.  Here’s their encounter.

  • Everyone Sergio wants to fight is scheduled already.
  • Chiesa calls out Alvarez.
  • Pettis says he’s got a lot of people to get through to get to the title.
  • Both guys address interim titles and neither are a fan of them.
  • Fedor or Meathead in Bellator tonight? Chiesa picks Fedor.
  • Chiesa talks about his time on TUF and how it helped his career.
  • Pettis and Chiesa answer the question about how they feel personally about GSP coming back.
  • Pettis can’t answer the question about who wins the main event between Browne and Lewis, but Chiesa chooses Browne.
  • “I’m your huckleberry”. Chiesa’s answer to who GSP should fight first.
  • Brian Stann says the one fight to bring him out of retirement would be Wanderlei Silva.
  • Sergio picks Woodley in the rematch with Wonderboy and chooses Khabib over Ferguson. Same with Chiesa.
  • Chiesa almost had the Khabib fight.
  • Chiesa talks about losing Joe Silva as matchmaker and how he’s dealing with it.
  • Pettis has very positive things to say about CM Punk.
  • Ferguson takes too many risks and Chiesa thinks he’d eventually choke him out.
  • Prime Anderson Silva vs prime GSP? Stann- GSP. Chiesa- Silva. Pettis- Silva.
  • They both talk about revenge fights.
  • Conor vs Floyd. Both Chiesa and Sergio think the fight is just a pipe dream. Neither really want to weight in on how it goes. They are each adamant about MMA and boxing being totally different. Brian Stann feels that the fight happening is slim to none and we should focus more on the winner of Khabib/Tony, fighting Conor McGregor.
