Stipe is the most accomplished HW. Cain is the greatest. So says DC.

Stipe-accomplished-Cain-greatest

It’s no secret how Daniel Cormier feels about Cain Velasquez. He has said time and again that he feels Cain is the greatest heavyweight to ever walk the Earth. Stipe Miocic had himself a hell of a run in the heavyweight division, but DC doesn’t feel that makes him the greatest, just the most accomplished.

Many fans are numbers and stats people, so they would disagree with DC. However, I think he has a fair argument. In a similar case, you could argue that Fedor Emelianenko is the greatest heavyweight ever. Both stats and skill attribute to the makings of who the greatest is. I personally feel that Fedor is the best heavyweight and possibly the greatest fighter ever. What it comes down to, is just personal preference.

In DC’s case, his opinion is that Cain is the GOAT. He may very well be correct. It just depends on if stats or skills are your preference.

Ronda Rousey signs WWE contract with Chiesa, Cain, and DC in front row

rousey-chiesa-cain-front-row

For the record, I have never seen Cain Velasquez that excited about ANYTHING, as he sat front row to cheer on Ronda Rousey in the WWE. The UFC was well represented last night at the WWE’s Elimination Chamber PPV. Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, Michael Chiesa, and Travis Browne all sat ringside to watch Ronda make her third official WWE appearance.

These contact signings they do are totally a part of the show and in no way shape or form reflect her actual contract. So, they did what they do in usual WWE soap opera type of fashion. Ronda enters the ring and makes a little speech. The GM, Kurt Angle, sells out the bosses, HHH and Stephanie McMahon. Ronda takes exception to it and puts HHH through a table. Quite standard stuff for the WWE.

Depending on whether or not the WWE make the correct decisions and use her properly, she could potentially be the biggest star. However, they are known to blow it time and again by doing the exact opposite of what paying fans want to see.

My advice; Make her a novelty like Brock Lesnar and take the mic out of her hands immediately. Put her in a situation where she can just be a dominant kick-ass wrestler and that’s it.

Cain Velasquez touring Beijing and hosting seminars

cain-touring-beijing-hosting-seminars

Before the UFC goes down this weekend from Beijing, some of their athletes have been doing promo work. Cain Velasquez is out there touring the city and hosting seminars. We have to say, it’s good seeing Cain out there doing MMA related things.

Velasquez has been absent from the sport since 2016 and has only fought four times in the last five years. The injury bug has plagued the two-time UFC heavyweight champion and fighting has been way too sparse.

While Cain doing the UFC promo work is cool and all, it would be nice to see him back in the cage smashing everyone again. It’s been way too long.
