Girl has hands! Claressa Shields is a stone cold killer.

Stone cold killer! Claressa Shields has arrived.

We may be entering the dawn of a new era in women’s boxing. It was Christy Martin and then Laila Ali. Now, it’s the stone cold killer, Claressa Shields. With a record of 4-0 and only 22 years of age, Shields is now the WBC and IBF Super Middleweight World Champion.

Shields took on the previously undefeated, Nikki Adler, of Germany. Shields delivered a thrashing to Adler in the course of five rounds, until the referee mercifully stopped the fight. It was such a lopsided bout that Adler only landed 6 punches to Shields’ 136.

The odds are good that she will next face Christina Hammer (21-0) next. For now, Shields gets to go home and put her belts next to her other hardware; Two Olympic gold medals.

See, this is why Cyborg can’t get fights.

For those of you who don’t know, Claressa Shields is a bad ass female boxer. She’s a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, an undefeated professional, and recently added the WBC Super Middleweight world championship to her resume. Her two consecutive gold medals make her the only American boxer, male or female to win the gold in back to back Olympic boxing. Cris Cyborg sparred with her, and the results are terrifying.

She’s 22 years old, stands five foot ten and is ready to become a household name in the not too distant future. The two of them put on the boxing gloves and did some very spirited sparring. Cris posted the video on her Instagram account, and it’s awesome. Check it out and find out why so many people are scared of Cyborg.
