Conor McGregor on Conan: “Khabib is slow and flat footed”

Conor-Conan-Khabib-footed"

Conor sees some weakness in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s game and he let his good pal, Conan O’Brien, know what they are. The most glaring of weaknesses is that Khabib is slow and flat footed, according to McGregor. Obviously, Conor didn’t get too in depth about what he was going to do in their fight, rather, he kept it light.

While promoting their fight this weekend, Conor couldn’t help but once again promote his whiskey. He sent Conan and his co-host, Andy Richter, a bottle of Proper 12 and all three saluted each other.

Conor came off looking very good in his interview and physically, he looks great. He isn’t sucked in or looking dehydrated. In fact, he looks like a welterweight right now.

With his win, Daniel Cormier broke the Conan Curse

What is the Conan Curse? If I told you that Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor suffered it, you’d be able to figure it out. That’s right; UFC fighters who have gone on Conan O’Brien’s late night show to promote their fight, always lose. With his historic victory against Stipe Miocic the other night, Daniel Cormier has broken the curse.

It was on his mind too, during the fight. When it was over and he went to the back, UFC PR told him that things were about to get crazy for him. DC replied,

“Nothing’s crazier than the fact that I just won this fight, even though I went to Conan.”

It looks like Conan O’Brien is the new gatekeeper for UFC fighters. If you can get through him, you are in the clear.

Daniel Cormier kicks back on the Conan O’Brien show

Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier is hoping to break the Conan curse after appearing on the late night talk show

Daniel Cormier was a guest on the Conan show on TBS last night and he looked pretty comfortable. He may have looked comfortable but he is well aware of the dreaded Conan curse. Ronda Rousey sat in that chair before she lost to Amanda Nunes. Conor McGregor sat in the chair and was bested by Nate Diaz. Nate sat there and lost the rematch to Conor McGregor. Long story short, it’s not a good idea to visit Conan prior to a big fight.

Conan said that despite his long reach, he’s no threat to Daniel Cormier. Cormier laughed and replied, “Conan, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt safer.”  Good stuff, Mr. Cormier.

They also talked about his fight with Jon Jones and nerves before a fight. They spoke about what it feels like to win a big fight as well. It was a fun appearance and Cormier was a solid guest.

Daniel Cormier will meet Stipe Miocic in a super fight for the UFC Heavyweight championship on July 7th in Las Vegas. The card is stacked and in the co-main event, Max Holloway will meet Brian Ortega for the Featherweight championship. UFC 226 is the centerpiece of International Fight Week.

Conor McGregor appears on Conan and makes a prediction on May/Mac

Conor McGregor

Conor confidently claims he’ll stop Mayweather inside of four rounds.

Conan O’Brien had Conor McGregor on as a guest this week and Conor appeared very confident saying he would finish Floyd. He also claimed Floyd at age 40 would not be able to keep Conor’s pace, and that Conor would be going right after Floyd, and not dancing around the ring.

The fans certainly seemed to eat it up and cheered with each claim Conor made.  It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out a week from Saturday night in Las Vegas when the talk ends, and the fighting begins.  Most boxing pundits believe the result is a forgone conclusion, and Floyd should win handidly.  That said, the fans by and large are up in the air about the fight.

I’ll stand by my claim that it is WAY easier to say you’re going to school Floyd Mayweather than it is to actually school Floyd Mayweather. 49 other professional boxers have tried and failed. Those guys were actually boxers, who, you know, had boxed professionally before.

Conor could well shock the world with a victory. I mean, it would shock the sports world, his fans, they don’t see any other way it could possibly go.  Regardless, Conor basically talked this fight into reality, and will walk away from the boxing ring with a 9 figure payday.

Ronda Rousey looked AMAZING on the Conan O’Brien Show.

A few days ago on ufcunfiltered.com, UFC President Dana White spoke about how Ronda Rousey was in ‘sick’ shape, as she gets ready for her women’s bantamweight championship bout vs Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. The fight is 3 weeks away and White claimed that the Rousey was walking around at 135 pounds. MMA fans … Read moreRonda Rousey looked AMAZING on the Conan O’Brien Show.
