Damn, Mike Winkeljohn sounding crazy bitter towards Cowboy Cerrone

damn-mike-winkeljohn-sounding-crazy-bitter-towards-cowboy-cerrone

Wow, Mike WInkeljohn sounds crazy bitter towards Cowboy Cerrone. In fact, rewatching this video makes me question if he is taking shot at Cowboy or if he’s trying to promote Jackson/Wink.

Cowboy dismantled current Jackson/Wink fighter, Mike Perry, this past Saturday. The victory felt like it had a little more emotion to it, after Cowboy had talked down on the gym and why he moved on from it.

Jackson/Wink fighters have since fired back at Cowboy, but Winkeljohn broke his silence after Cowboy beat Perry in Denver.

“Any gym owner would tell you that a cancer has to be removed. It’s removed. The gym has no drama. It’s a happy place. I’m a happy guy.”

I’m not in the gym so I can’t really comment, but calling Cowboy ‘a cancer’ seems harsh and misplaced. Cowboy moving on does not seem to be sitting well with Wink.

Not one bit.

Cowboy is not a gamer, but he can’t put down Red Dead Redemption 2

Cowboy-gamer-Red-Dead-Redemption

It’s a well known fact that World of Warcraft almost killed Jens Pulver’s career. Sometimes a gamer gets obsessed and loses track of life. Relationships, employment, hygiene; All symptoms of the video game bug. Let’s hope Donald Cowboy Cerrone doesn’t get sucked down that rabbit hole by Red Dead Redemption 2.

Currently, RDR2 is taking the world by storm and is more addictive than crack. You know it’s a big deal when South Park parodies it, like they did this past Wednesday. The whole narrative around it is about, surprise, failing relationships around everyone playing the game.

Cerrone has a big fight tomorrow night against Mike Perry. Let’s hope his mind isn’t on robbing stagecoaches or where to find rare upgraded weapons.

Mike Perry done lost his damn mind playing an Indian looking for Cowboy

perry-damn-mind-playing-cowboy

You never know what is going through the mind of Mike Perry. In fact, I’d venture to say that Mike Perry doesn’t know what Mike Perry is thinking, most of the time. Well, it is Halloween today and Perry has put out a video dressed as one of the Village People.

Donning an Indian chief’s headdress and warpaint, Perry looks through Jackson/Wink searching for a cowboy. Actually, he’s looking for THE Cowboy, Donald Cerrone.

Much drama has been made about Cerrone’s departure from the gym, as well as Perry’s arrival there. Whatever angst, jealousy, or hard feelings there are; They will be worked out on November 10 inside of the cage.

As of this moment, Perry is taking a lot of heat online and is being accused of racial insensitivity for his little video.

Cowboy Cerrone drinks beer and tandem wakeboards during fight week

Cowboy wakeboards with beers and girls

Not only is Cowboy Cerrone one of the biggest asskickers on Earth, but he’s also mastered many other activities. What is crazy, is when he does those other activities during fight week. Apparently, his activities include drinking a beer with a woman on his shoulders as he wakeboards. Resident Jackson/Wink sports medicine doctor, Beau Hightower, … Read moreCowboy Cerrone drinks beer and tandem wakeboards during fight week

Cowboy, Dana White, and the head of Joe Rogan as a squid.

Cowboy, Dana White, and the head of Joe Rogan as a squid.

You don’t normally find Joe Rogan in a Mojahed Fudailat video being only a head. However, this time around Joe is not only a head but a squid head. I know that sounds eerily similar to the plot of a Kurosawa film, but it isn’t. It’s just part of the plot of a short video by our good buddy, Mojahed Fudailat.

I’ll be honest, I don’t even understand the plot of any of these movies anymore. That’s fine because I’m still entertained. While anything with Cowboy Cerrone in it is entertaining, Joe Rogan ‘inking’ steals the show.

That… and some underwater racism.

Cowboy Cerrone: “Unfortunately, the ass whipping (Masvidal) is going to take is inevitable”

Cowboy Cerrone: "Unfortunately, the ass whipping (Masvidal) is going to take is inevitable"

Donald Cowboy Cerrone fights Jorge Masvidal tomorrow night at UFN: Denver. He’s doing what he normally does in preparation for any fight; Playing, training, and talking to the media. He sits down with Megan Olivi and answers questions in the most Cowboy Cerrone ways possible.

Cowboy fighting in Colorado

“I bought 58 tickets to this fight. If all else fails, there will be 58 screaming fans there.”

Jorge Masvidal

“He’s making up reasons to hate me. Just like everybody, they need to hate me. I don’t know why. I feel like I’m a pretty cool guy. Like, a ‘drink beer with you’ kind of guy.”

“I must’ve pissed on his cat or something.”

Getting called ‘Part time’ by Masvidal

“As a part-time fighter, I’m pretty active. Part Time! I’ve only lost to one guy since 2013. That’s pretty good! He thinks he’s coming to my home town and whipping my part-time ass? I don’t think so.”

Setting records being his motivation

“We are going to set them so far, no one’s even going to touch them.”

What he learned from the Matt Brown fight

“Learning how to dig deep again.”

“I’m sure he’s coming hard. He doesn’t want to lose. Unfortunately, the ass whipping (Masvidal) is going to take is inevitable.”

The title picture

“Down the road somewhere. Maybe one more fight. I gotta beat one of these Demian Maia or Robbie Lawler type guys.”

Nerves while acting

“Nah. You just fake it ’til you make it.”

Getting training in

“We just got back from Cabo. There was 7 of us down there. Everyone comes with me. We just train wherever we are. I don’t need to be in a gym setting to train. Not bad for a part-time gig.”

Friends. How many of us have them?

It’s nice to have friends. Most of the time they speak well of you, unless they are a Kardashian. Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone has friends. Some of his pals are training partners that he enjoys punching in the face. Fighters like John Dodson, Cub Swanson, and Holly Holm all make appearances in the UFC: On Point video. Of course his training partners will talk about Cowboy in a positive light. They are family.

However, we also have a legend that is a Cerrone fan.  How about 2 legends? Both Don Frye and Chuck Liddell talk about Cowboy being ‘The Guy’. 2 guys who have gone through wars and won belts in the UFC, are saying they like your work. There is no bigger compliment than an icon like Don Frye talking positively about what you bring to the table.

“He’s game, man. He stands up to his name ‘Cowboy’. He’s a bad dude. He’s a baaad dude. I love watching him fight. There’s no quit in him.”

Donald Cerrone is a fighter’s fighter. What that means is, pro fighters become fan boys when Donald steps into the cage. That’s respect.

UFN Denver: Donald Cerrone vs. Jorge Masvidal. Road to the Octagon.

UFN Denver: Donald Cerrone vs. Jorge Masvidal. Road to the Octagon.

“I wanted an easy fight to start off the year that could get me name recognition. Boom. Got it. Cowboy.”

-Jorge Masvidal

It’s not commonplace to hear people say that Donald Cerrone is an easy fight. You want to know why? Because he isn’t. Jorge Masvidal doesn’t agree with that sentiment. Cowboy is simply an opponent with a big name for him to build his own name off of.

The two fighters will meet in the center of the cage this weekend, at Ultimate Fight Night: Denver. This fight is for the fans. Whether it is a number one contender fight for the welterweight championship, remains to be seen. As it stands right now, this is a fight between two of the baddest guys in the game.

The video shows each combatant’s daily routines. While Masvidal trains in Colorado to get acclimated to the elevation, Cerrone does Cerrone things. Aside from training his ass off, Cowboy LIVES his ass off. If he isn’t on a lake wakeboarding somewhere, he is shooting ducks in the mountains.

This fight should be phenomenal. Masvidal is usually a very slow starter, but fighting Cerrone should bring ‘Gamebred’ out rather quickly. It truly is great matchmaking, putting these two together. Cerrone forces Masvidal to fight and Masvidal brings out the dog in Cowboy.

It doesn’t get much better than this, folks.
