UFC 228 is looking like it did a very disappointing 130,000 buys

UFC 228

Tyron Woodley and Darren Till didn’t seem to reach the masses UFC 228 doesn’t seem to have been a commercial success, at least if you believe what is being reported about the PPV event. Dave Meltzer has indicated via his Wrestling Observer newsletter that UFC 228 has disappointed. He was quoted as saying. “The 9/8 … Read moreUFC 228 is looking like it did a very disappointing 130,000 buys

UFC 228: The Thrill and the Agony- Sneak Peek. Incredible video

These UFC ‘The Thrill and The Agony’ videos are just flat-out legendary. They actually capture the thrill and the agony of all concerned parties involved with the fights. As far as UFC 228 is concerned, there was a ridiculous amount of ups and downs with a plethora of emotions for a variety of reasons.

It wasn’t just the main event between Tyron Woodley and Darren Till, either. Seeing both sides when Jessica Andrade knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz is the epitome of what this sport is about. One side is elated, while the other side is devastated.

Also featured are the Zabit and Aljo kneebars. Of course, the Geoff Neal KO had everyone over the moon.

Then there is Daniel Cormier… Can Joe Rogan just give him a high five?

Snoop Dogg sippin gin and juice, calling Till vs Woodley totally wrong

“Rollin’ down the street, smokin’ indo; Sippin’ on gin and juice. Laid back. With my mind on my money and my money on my mind.” I do believe that Snoop Dogg was sippin on gin and juice, but his mind wasn’t anywhere near thinking about his money. In fact, I don’t know what he was thinking because he called Tyron Woodley vs Darren Till the complete ass-backwards wrong way.

First of all, Snoop thinks that Darren Till is Colby Covington. While he doesn’t mention him by that name, saying “F*** Trump”, implies that Snoop thinks the very pro-Trump, Colby Covington, is in the cage with Tyron Woodley. Saying, “F*** Trump”, doesn’t make much sense if it was towards Till, being that he’s British and all.

Then, Woodley locks up the D’arce choke and Snoop calls it the Dart choke. If you are unaware of the difference like our pal Snoop; D’arce is a choke. Darts is a game you play in the garage at halftime during a lousy NFL game.

He finishes it off by coming with, “Wakanda Forever!”

Is this real life?

Darren Till’s humility when embracing Woodley’s mom backstage was class

After Darren Till suffered his first MMA loss he showed humility for the first time. He is a very confident fighter and often times he comes off as arrogant. He very well may be arrogant, but after his loss, he knew it was time to pay respect to Tyron Woodley.

He was a gentleman in the cage with his words for Woodley and despite Till believing that he’s the greatest, he was not on that day. Till made his way backstage after the fight and ran into the only person on Earth that Woodley fears; Tyron’s mother.

Ma Woodley wasn’t too intimidating with Till as they shared a moment together. She offered words of encouragement to Till and embraced him as a competitor, not an enemy.

It was a beautiful scene between the two. These are the things we need a little bit more of in MMA. After all, it’s JUST a sport.

Tyron Woodley kept hold of his UFC welterweight title, stopping Darren Till in the second round via D’Arce Choke. He dropped Till with a right hand and unloaded on him with some serious elbows and ground and pound before sinking in the choke and forcing the tap. Hear him talk about it here at the UFC 228 Post Fight Press Conference.

Jessica Andrade also did the amazing tonight, landing a clean one-punch knockout against her opponent Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the first round of their fight. You knew Colby just had to weigh in (horribly) on UFC 228 ww title fight

Well, UFC 229 is this weekend and it features a battle of welterweights. Tyron Woodley will be defending his title against top contender, Darren Till. You know what that means. Colby Covington has come out from behind his computer and horribly relayed a message to the division.

As far as we know, Colby Covington became the interim welterweight titleholder a couple of months ago. We also know that he may or may not have been stripped of that title. However, since welterweights are fighting for the actual title, you just knew that Colby was going to come out and say something about himself being the real champ. Like clockwork, he showed up on social media with a couple of paid models talking trash about Woodley and Till on behalf of himself and his betting sponsor.

“UFC 228 is going down this Saturday night! It’s The Soy Boy (Woodley) vs The Dough Boy (Till) in a #1 contender fight. Who do you got virgins? Doughy Darrel or Tyquil Woodley? I’m putting my money on Two Faced Tyrone to pull it out in epic Woodley fashion via boring ass decision! Make your bank account great again and hit the link in my bio and use code COLBY to get a 100% deposit bonus to bet on the #UFC #NFL or any other sports.”

He sure can fight but boy does he suck at this trash-talking-for-marketing thing.
