Asking the fans their opinions on Fedor Emelianenko

Asking-fans-opinions-Fedor-Emelianenko

The GOAT. The King. The Boss. These are all names that people use to describe Fedor Emelianenko. It’s not just in this video that fans say it, but it’s also popular opinion amongst most MMA fans. Bellator did a nice little experiment sending their man Andy Nesbitt out there asking fans for their opinions on Fedor Emelianenko. While it was just for fun, you still grasp that people understand Fedor’s legacy.

While many new fans are so busy screaming Conor McGregor’s name, they have missed out on the history that Fedor has created. Not only is he a pioneer but his career numbers have held up over time.

The video goes off the rails a bit when fans are asked how long they’d last in a fight with Fedor. Anything longer than, “However long it took him to reach me.” is an unacceptable answer.

If we’re being honest, the second Fedor came close to any of us, that would be our ass.

Israeli Prime Minister showing them hands to Bellator fighters

israeli-prime-minister-hands-bellator

While in Jerusalem for Bellator 188, Bellator fighters and representatives did some meeting and greeting. The most impressive meeting was with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

On hand to meet the Prime Minister at the Jerusalem Parliament were MMA icons Fedor Emelianenko and Royce Gracie. Also in attendance were main and co-main event fighters, Noad Lahat and Haim Gozali; Both of whom are Israeli. So what do you do when you meet up with Israel’s head honcho? I guess you put some MMA gloves on him and watch out for haymakers.

At 68 years old he looks like he still has some speed in those fists. Three months sprawl training and I see him vs Ken Shamrock at Bellator 200. Book it!
