Gracie JJ Breakdown that’s really just a BJJ clinic. Bully beware.

Any time you have someone with no BJJ experience and they take on someone who is trained in BJJ… The person who trains BJJ wins that fight 10/10 times. Such is the case in this video that Rener Gracie has posted to the Gracie Breakdown YouTube page. While it may look like another streetfight, it’s just a clinic that shows how someone knowledgeable in BJJ can put the wood to someone who is not trained in the arts.

As per the YouTube, the story goes like this:

“Xavier Pa-Jarvis has been a student at our CTC in Hawaii, Central Oahu BJJ, for 2 years. He’s 12 years old (7th grade) and was getting bullied by a 16-year-old (10th grade) for 2 weeks. His parents contacted the school administrators to get it to stop, but nothing changed.

On this day, the older kid approached Xavier at the bus stop with his shirt off and kicked him, so Xavier stood up for himself. Double leg takedown, mount to back mount, rear naked choke (opponent’s friends stepped in to force choke release), immediate Stage 1 punch protection from guard, Stage 4 kick-out and back to the feet. They threw a few more punches and then friends broke it up.

Moral of the story: Teach your child to avoid street fights at all costs, but if they are physically attacked, make sure they have the tools to defend themselves.”

Moral of the story: Jeans shorts are not a good look at any age for any generation.

Challenge Match at a Certified Training Center. Gracie Combatives Class.

I mean, it’s been 25 years since the first UFC. You’d think by now that no one would doubt the validity of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Not even just Gracie Jiu Jitsu, but ALL grappling. However, once again we find ourselves amidst a non-believer. After his first Gracie Combatives class a trained boxer decided to try his luck. As you’d expect, it went horribly for him.

Gracie YouTube:

European guy shows up at our Certified Training Center in Osaka, Japan. After his first Gracie Combatives class, he reveals that he’s an experienced boxer and questions whether or not jiu-jitsu would work on him if he were throwing punches.

One of the instructors, Ty Bess accepts the challenge…twice. After 25 years of UFC you wouldn’t expect these people to exist anymore, but they do, and the reaction is always the same: After the first loss, let me try that again. After the second loss, where do I sign up?

Another Gracie breakdown, but with excellent product placement

If any of you LYFT or UBER drivers fear for your lives when working, have no fear; The Gracies are here. Rener Gracie posted a new Gracie breakdown and with the help of his brother, Ryron, put out a fantastic tutorial with legendary product placement.

While showing how to deal with a ‘situation’ Rener shows us the lost art of timing and product placement.

“Do anything you can to de-escalate the situation. Even if that means taking off your Hero Hoodie and showing him how it converts into a fully functional backpack in a matter of seconds.”

I was so impressed by the timing of this that I really didn’t care about how to defend a wild UBER passenger.

I’m seriously considering buying one of those Hero Hoodies right now. That thing looks awesome.
