Dillashaw booked to attempt 2-weight champ status vs Cejudo at flyweight

Despite the UFC’s obvious attempt to dissolve their flyweight division, they have booked somewhat of a superfight. After a long time of TJ Dillashaw claiming that he can drop down from bantamweight to flyweight, he finally is. Dillashaw will take on new flyweight champion, Henry Cejudo. Breaking: TJ Dillashaw will move DOWN in weight to … Read moreDillashaw booked to attempt 2-weight champ status vs Cejudo at flyweight

Could the UFC be turning the gears on TJ Dillashaw vs. Henry Cejudo

TJ Dillashaw

TJ Dillashaw was on the Joe Rogan Experience and hinted it might take place. Well, I guess Demetrious Johnson’s being the best Flyweight ever and the longest running UFC champion ever doesn’t earn him an immediate rematch. In what was a very hotly contested clash, Henry Cejudo defeated Johnson to become the Flyweight champion via … Read moreCould the UFC be turning the gears on TJ Dillashaw vs. Henry Cejudo

DC looking jealous of Cejudo’s Olympic and UFC gold. Primarily, Olympic.

Since winning the UFC heavyweight championship, Daniel Cormier is really riding this ‘Double Champ’ train. It seems like whatever corner you turn, DC is telling somebody how he’s a two-division champion. (See his schooling of Khabib Nurmagomedov) However, when talking to Henry Cejudo, it looks as if DC is showing some serious humility because he’s … Read moreDC looking jealous of Cejudo’s Olympic and UFC gold. TJ and Cejudo bring the trash talk to the TMZ studios

TJ Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo moved their trash talking feud into the TMZ studios. It’s so bizarre that these two are holding their own world tour, yet, neither Dana White or the UFC have gotten behind this fight in the slightest. Literally, there is no plan for these two to meet but they seem to be trying to make it happen.

The other bizarre thing about this video is that when they do these in-studio interviews, the guys are about 10 feet from one another. There is a healthy respect between Dillashaw and Cejudo, though. Both seem aware of the promotional aspect of a potential fight and don’t have animosity behind their actions.

I wouldn’t mind seeing this fight, but I think we can all agree that Demetrious Johnson deserves a rematch before Cejudo takes on anyone else. However, it remains to be seen what happens in both divisions. TJ has in no way cleaned out his division and Cejudo just became champion. Before this fight comes to fruition, I think they both have some belt defending to do.

It starts. TJ and Cejudo, talk trash on EXTRA with Mario Lopez

It didn’t take long for TJ Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo to get involved in a champ vs champ fracas. It was nothing colossal, but the two are campaigning for this fight and they did it on EXTRA with Mario Lopez at Universal Studios today.

Personally, I feel that if Lopez wasn’t in a boot he would show what the real AC Slater is all about and out-wrestle both of these guys. Sure, Cejudo has an Olympic gold medal, but AC Slater is friends with Screech and Zack Morris, which has to account for something.

Since he was shelved, Lopez mainly just sat between the two as they had a friendly war of words between them. TJ is out there looking like a rock star, while Cejudo looks like the bully from every 80’s movie ever.

Henry Cejudo channels his inner Tim Sylvia. Sleeps with championship belt

It is a well-known fact that former UFC heavyweight champion, Tim Sylvia, used to wear his title belt all over the place. Henry Cejudo now channels his inner Sylvia and he too is going the extra mile with his belt. Don’t get me wrong, Cejudo’s feat this past weekend was a monumental one. However, having … Read moreHenry Cejudo channels his inner Tim Sylvia. Sleeps with championship belt

UFC 227 Fight Motion preview: A look back at the action!

UFC 227 Fight Motion

UFC 227 was a crazy night of action, take a look back with Fight Motion

UFC 227 is in the books, but you can relive the highlights in super slow motion by checking out the UFC 227 Fight Motion preview. These videos are incredible and they are available with a Fight Pass membership. In these highlights, you can relive the moments from the two championship fights.

TJ Dillashaw retained his title when he stopped Cody Garbrandt in the first round of their rematch. Cody again had Dillashaw hurt first, but threw caution to the wind and got sloppy, got clipped and finished. It’s the second time Cody had TJ on the rails in a fight, only to get stopped moments later.

Henry Cejudo made history when he became the first fighter to win Olympic gold and then earn a UFC title. He won a razor-thin Split Decision victory over Demetrious Johnson to become the Flight champion. It was an incredible fight and Henry pressured DJ for five rounds, earning the victory.

You can see all of the UFC 227 results right here.

Cha-Ching! Four UFC 227 fighters made six figures

The main and co-main event combatants from UFC 227 all made out pretty well this past weekend. Each of the top four fighters on the card all pulled in six figures. Of course, this is all before sponsor dollars and Reebok, etc. However, the disclosed UFC payroll is nothing to scoff at. Demetrious Johnson led … Read moreCha-Ching! Demetrious Johnson might have a new nickname, “Bigfoot”

Johnson has a badly swollen foot and believes he injured his knee as well Saturday night. Demetrious Johnson seemed to handle his loss to Henry Cejudo Saturday night exceedingly well. He clapped for the new champion as the results were read aloud by Bruce Buffer. He was gracious in his post-fight interview. He’s just a … Read moreDemetrious Johnson might have a new nickname, “Bigfoot”

Henry Cejudo open to running it back with DJ already

If you really pay attention to what is going on in this video, yes, that’s Henry Cejudo walking his new title belt in a stroller. Strollers are for babies and the flyweight belt happens to be Cejudo’s newborn. Despite the new addition to the Cejudo family, he’s open to running it back and giving Demetrious Johnson the opportunity of reclaiming it.

Cejudo has been on cloud 9 since his victory over DJ and rightfully so. Who can really blame the guy when he’s beaten arguably the greatest fighter who has ever lived?

Cejudo doesn’t look like he wants to be one of those guys who holds a belt hostage. In fact, he’s ready to defend it. When asked if he’d give DJ a rematch, Cejudo says,

“Let’s make it happen, baby. Whatever, whenever. I’m ready to throw down now.”

This is good news for Johnson, who more than deserves an immediate rematch just based on his history as flyweight champion. Although, Johnson seems to have sustained some injuries that could keep him out for an extended amount of time. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out but this is the fight that MMA fans are already calling for.
