UFC lightweight, Devin Powell, has a great attitude. In fact, it’s almost too good. While grappling with Joe Lauzon during training, Powell’s testicles caught an inadvertent knee and were ruptured. Powell seemed thrilled about the injury and took to social media to let the world know how ‘nuts’ he was. Thanks to the fine ambulatory … Read moreAfter his testicles were ruptured, Devin Powell seems way too excited
Joe Lauzon, Jake Ellenberger, Diego Sanchez and Sam Alvey traveled to Iraq.
Joe Lauzon just returned from a week spent touring Iraq with some other UFC fighters. We showed you some footage of them grappling with troops last week, and now Joe Lauzon has posted all his footage cut together. It’s a ten-minute video that has to be seen. They do some grappling with the troops, meet and greet people and blow some stuff up.
For the fighters, it seemed to be something they’ll never forget. It looked like a tremendous experience.
The UFC sent Diego Sanchez, Sam Alvey, Jake Ellenberger and Joe Lauzon to Iraq.
Diego Sanchez and Joe Lauzon posted videos today via Instagram. Diego was doing some grappling with the troops and hit up his Instagram account, posting the video. He’s been there along with other UFC fighters Joe Lauzon, Sam Alvey, and Jake Ellenberger this week. They’ve all been posting some great pictures and videos this week, and seem to genuinely love spending time with the troops over there.
We all appreciate the efforts of the troops and if the UFC can brighten their days by sending over some fighters, then that’s amazing. Check out the Diego Sanchez video below.

Joe Lauzon also posted a video via his Instagram, and it can be seen below. Joe and Diego are great ambassadors for the sport, as are Sam Alvey and Jake Ellenberger. I can only imagine Jake was in heaven touring some of the military aircraft there, as I know he loves planes. Check out the video, and see how the troops fared against the UFC stars.
Fight Night 108 is behind us, but check out this behind the scenes look.
It’s time for another Joe Lauzon video blog. Joe Lauzon fought to a hotly contested decision with Stevie Ray at UFC Fight Night 108 last Saturday night. He shared his unique perspective of the build-up to the fight and what happened post-fight. It’s some pretty cool insight into what goes into a UFC event and how fighters respond to a loss.
The video blogs start before the fight, goes on to the fight night itself and then we see some post-fight activities from Joe. He explains his take on the judge’s decision and more. Check it out.
Joe Lauzon is among the most entertaining fighters on earth.
In this, the first episode of Joe Lauzon’s video blog for UFC Fight Night 108, we see Joe arrive in Nashville, ahead of his fight with Stevie Ray. He is shown the weekly schedule of events, and then we see him checking out his Reebok gear. He brought some of his old Reebok gear and they said if he wears that, he’ll be fined. Interesting.
We then follow Joe to a small room where he signs his autograph time after time on a series of posters. It’s the less glamorous side of the UFC. We see him pass Sam Alvey in a hallway and true to form, Alvey is all smiles. Watching Joe walk through this for the umpteenth time, it really seems routine. He does a little AMA session and someone asks him about his post-fight party. He says, he’ll probably find a Five Guys, or some other burger place and eat “like a fat kid. Maybe some ice cream.” He’s so at ease.
We see Joe being interviewed by John Morgan from MMA Junkie, all part of doing his media responsibilities for the week. He has a great attitude about fighting. He’s put in the work, done all he can, and now all he has to do is fight. Wednesday night, Joe weighs 165 pounds and we see him doing a light workout.
The video closes with Joe eating a big burger and looking into the camera, and saying, “156, here I come.” Classic Joe Lauzon.
