Yikes, Fight Night 135 does lowest ever viewership on a UFC/FS1 event

Fight Night 135

Justin Gaethje is as exciting a fighter as there is, but he doesn’t seem to have much draw. Saturday, more people watched Logan Paul fight KSI than saw Justin Gaethje take out James Vick at Fight Night 135. Let that marinate for a moment. That fact proved two things beyond a shadow of a doubt. … Read moreYikes, Fight Night 135 does lowest ever viewership on a UFC/FS1 event

Gaethje on Vick “That was the most terrifying night of that man’s life”

gaethje-vick-terrifying-night-life

Justin Gaethje fights like a cyborg and that can be terrifying for some. It seems like whatever you throw at the guy, he just eats it and keeps coming forward. As James Vick found out the hard way this past Saturday, Gaethje also packs a heck of a wallop in his fists. Vick talked a lot before the fight and it really angered Gaethje. Luckily, this is the fight business and beefs can be settled inside of a cage.

Vick wound up unconscious, thanks to a Gaethje right hand. Gaethje says it felt great knocking Vick out, however, there was a part of him that did feel bad for him.

“It’s a scary moment. I’ve been there. I felt bad, (points to chest) right here, at the top. But, then all up in here just felt amazing.”

Translated to the non-PC version: “It was awesome and I don’t feel bad at all for taking a piece of his soul.”

UFC on FOX 29 Fight Motion video preview, non-stop slo-mo action

Fight Motion

Take a slow-motion trip down memory lane from UFC on FOX 29

The UFC does a lot of things really well. One of them is their production of both in-ring and backstage video content. The Fight Motion videos take you inside the Octagon and show the action in slow-motion, which is incredible. One of my favorite aspects of ever card is waiting for the Fight Motion video to be released.

There’s just something amazing about seeing the shots land in slow-motion. You see so many more shots landing in this fashion. I could watch an entire fight in Fight Motion and be in heaven. When you see the fight live or on television you miss so much of what is actually happening. It’s just incredible.

This episode doesn’t fail to impress. The footage from Gaethje/Poirier is worth the watch all by itself. There’s plenty more to see though. The UFC on FOX 29 Fight Motion video is available below.
