There goes King Mo again. The dude has absolutely no filter whatsoever. So when it comes to Matt Mitrione, Mo wants a piece of his bitchass. Apparently, Mitrione was offended that Mo said that Matt’s fight with Roy Nelson should have gone another round. Nelson is a teammate of Mo’s, so Mo was certainly entitled to his opinion.

In response, Mitrione has been talking a bunch of shit about Mo and Mo put it down at the Bellator press conference.

“I want Matt Mitrione’s bitchass. That’s who I want. He’s already booked, but hopefully, Y’all will make it happen because I don’t like his bitch ass! Let that be known. Y’all can tweet that he’s a ho.”

All the fighters stepped on the scale this morning, but this afternoon they’ll face off and pose.

This morning one by one the fighters fighting at Bellator 180 and Bellator NYC stepped onto the scale to make weight for their fights Saturday night. All three title fights are now official as all six competitors were on point.  Fedor weighed in at 236.4 pounds, while Matt Mitrione weighed in at 256.6 pounds. Bellator held a press conference for their PPV today, here it is.

As we reported yesterday, Wanderlei Silva was under the weather and did not make it to the Bellator NYC press conference. He was however there via satellite.  There were some pretty funny moments as you might expect with Chael Sonnen in the house.  One of the best quotes came from Sonnen regarding Wanderlei. He said he wouldn’t “Come into the men’s bathroom at the homeless shelter, you can call me out all you want.”  Typical Sonnen magic.

The only downside of the press conference is they didn’t mute Wand’s mic when he wasn’t speaking. So, his labored breathing is a bit of a distraction. One of these days, Bellator will iron out the kinks when they do one of these things. You almost feel bad for Fedor sitting there, having to listen to Chael call himself the best ever, and say time and again that Fedor is there to “Jerk the Curtain” for him, which is slang in pro wrestling for going on first and not being the big deal. Oh well, what are you going to do? Sonnen is going to Sonnen.

We take a trip back to New York with Mitrione who played for the NY Giants

Bellator has released a new video showing Matt Mitrione indicating how special New York is to him. He played for the New York Giants back in 2002. Matt was injured in a 2002 playoff game against the 49ers and had seven-foot surgeries, including one that elongated his Achilles tendon. He was on crutches for 16 months.  Now he’s on the verge of fighting in the main event of Bellator NYC.

In this video, he goes to his cousin’s home, where he stayed during his time trying out for the Giants.  We see his family, how close he is to them and they throw down the traditional big family meal.  They’re all so proud of him, and you get a sense of the kind of people are in his life.

He talks about fighting in Madison Square Garden, and how it is where sports legends have become Gods.  He has the chance to knock out the best heavyweight in the history of the sport, in the greatest arena in sports. It’s a great video.

I know for one, I am getting pretty excited for Bellator 180. It has a bit of everything for the hardcore fan. Chael Sonnen will finally meet Wanderlei Silva inside a cage and settle their business. Fedor Emelianenko returns to fight in the most famous arena in the USA. Matt Mitrione will be looking to throw his heavy hands. Multiple title belts will be defended. It’s a great card, and Bellator has released a great new Bellator 180 Promo video.
