After 5-rounder with Primus, Michael Chandler takes an L from microphone

rounder-primus-chandler-microphone

Michael Chandler may have beaten Brent Primus to win back his Bellator lightweight title, but the fight after the fight saw him take an L. Doing the post-fight scrum, Michael Chandler, who is never short on energy, was explaining to the media about how cuts happened during the fight. Speaking into the microphone, Chandler tried to show the media exactly how he headbutted Primus… That’s when the mic fought back.

After taking punches to the head for 25 minutes I assume one can be a little woozy and their equilibrium may be ‘off’. So, when Chandler was showing the media his ‘how-to’ headbutt, he miscalculated and took another shot to the dome.

Like any man trying to avoid embarrassment, he blamed everyone else for the height of the mic.

Michael Chandler recreates creepy Purge scene for Brent Primus

michael-chandler-creepy-purge-scene-brent-primus

Michael Chandler is creating his own hype videos now. He reclipped a refilmed himself in the now famous creepy scene from the movie ‘The Purge’. His message was aimed directly at his former opponent and current Bellator champion (by default), Brent Primus.

Primus has left a very sour taste in people’s moths after he ‘won’ the Bellator lightweight championship from Chandler. Michael Chandler got injured during their fight a year and a half ago and Primus celebrated as if he had just knocked out Fedor.

Since then, Primus hasn’t defended the title once, while Chandler has fought twice in 2018.

Usually, these kind of videos seem a bit disrespectful. However, I’d be lying if I said that Primus doesn’t deserve to be gone after like this.

If you missed it, Iron Michael Chandler Arm-Triangle chokes Brandon Girtz

missed-iron-chandler-girtz

If you missed Bellator 197 on Friday night, you missed Iron Michael Chandler putting Brandon Girtz to sleep. Girtz didn’t tap to the arm-triangle choke that Chandler put on him and woke up after the main event of Bellator 197 had ended. There is no doubting Girtz’ toughness and there is certainly no doubt that Chandler is one of the best lightweights in the world.

Chandler slapped on the choke and Girtz attempted to buck him off. When doing so, Girtz created space on his left side, which allowed Chandler to hop over and really sink the choke in. Incredible finish by Chandler to cap off Bellator 197.

Hopefully, with this win, Chandler can get the Brent Primus rematch. Again.

Michael Chandler is a better Salt Bae than Salt Bae

chandler-better-salt-bae

Salt Bae, Nusret Gokce, is known for his steak cutting skills, wearing a V-neck, and salting his steaks in flamboyant fashion. Enter, Michael Chandler.

Chandler raised the stakes in the steak cutting game by going shirtless and what looks like pantsless. As he smacks and beats his meat, he slices it thinly and dispatches the fat like a pro. If MMA doesn’t work out for Iron Mike, he always has a future in the cullinary arts.

What an Adonis.

Watch the Bellator NYC Press Conference Video here

Bellator NYC press

Bellator held a press conference for their PPV today, here it is.

As we reported yesterday, Wanderlei Silva was under the weather and did not make it to the Bellator NYC press conference. He was however there via satellite.  There were some pretty funny moments as you might expect with Chael Sonnen in the house.  One of the best quotes came from Sonnen regarding Wanderlei. He said he wouldn’t “Come into the men’s bathroom at the homeless shelter, you can call me out all you want.”  Typical Sonnen magic.

The only downside of the press conference is they didn’t mute Wand’s mic when he wasn’t speaking. So, his labored breathing is a bit of a distraction. One of these days, Bellator will iron out the kinks when they do one of these things. You almost feel bad for Fedor sitting there, having to listen to Chael call himself the best ever, and say time and again that Fedor is there to “Jerk the Curtain” for him, which is slang in pro wrestling for going on first and not being the big deal. Oh well, what are you going to do? Sonnen is going to Sonnen.

The video can be seen in its entirety below.
