Our own Mike Swick beefing with Paulie Malignaggi on Twitter

Imagine my surprise when I looked at Twitter and saw our fearless leader, Mike Swick, beefing with Paulie Malignaggi. If you don’t know Swick, everything you see with him is what you get. Yes, he is really that nice of a guy. So, when you see Swick going off on Paulie on Twitter, it’s clear … Read moreOur own Mike Swick beefing with Paulie Malignaggi on Twitter

Paulie Malignaggi enlists the help of the NYBA. Still wants McGregor.

Paulie Malignaggi REALLY wants to fight Conor McGregor. He wants to fight him so badly, he’s willing to chase him into the cage. It looks as if the NYBA, Phil Baroni,  is trying to help Paulie get ready for a mixed martial arts fight. Fans have scoffed at the idea of Paulie vs Conor in … Read morePaulie Malignaggi enlists the help of the NYBA. Still wants McGregor.

Paulie Malignaggi still pleading his case for McGregor fight.

Ever since Paulie Malignaggi and Conor McGregor sparred, Paulie has been pleading his case to get that fight made. It sounds like he could actually be getting closer to seeing it materialize. In this video by Fight Hype, Paulie says Al Haymon and Dana White are in communication about it.

“I know Al Haymon is talking to Dana White. I know they are speaking. So, if they want the fight, they’ll make it.”

Paulie is correct about Conor vs Paulie being the biggest cash grab for all parties involved right now. MMA has lost a lot of mainstream luster; Superfights and freakshow fights are the only things that are selling.

From a business standpoint, what makes the most money is Conor fighting Paulie or Nate Diaz. If we are talking what MMA purists want, it’s Conor defending any belt ever in MMA. However, it’s only mainstream ‘fans’ who are buying PPV’s.

Like I always say, this isn’t the fight business, it’s the money making business.

Max Holloway seems to be sick of Paulie Malignaggi. So are a lot of people.

Max Holloway seems sick of Paulie Malignaggi

It seems that Paulie Malignaggi has been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way as of late. Granted, he IS angling for a fight with Conor McGregor. In doing so, however, it’s become irritating to a lot of people who are caught in his line of sight. The May/Mac superfight is over and everyone … Read moreMax Holloway seems to be sick of Paulie Malignaggi. So are a lot of people.

MMA animation. “No Balls”. Things are different on the streets.

Things are different on the streets.

That’s right, people. Things are different on the streets than they are in the ring or cage. At least, that seems to be every fan excuse made by apologists. Since Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather, all you hear are Conor fans saying, “Yeah, well in a REAL fight, things would be totally different.”

Our favorite MMA animator, Mojahed Fudailat, brings ‘what ifs’ to life through digital art. Here’s your ‘what if’ scenario if Brendan Schaub saw his superhero, Conor McGregor, out in real life. He goes on to show Paulie Malignaggi entering the conversation, as he’s been known to do. Then Nate Diaz brings the streets to Brendan Schaub with some Stockton slaps.

It’s like every article we’ve ever written has been made into a live action video. Using all of the actual soundbites makes this video a homerun!

Mayweather vs McGregor Embedded: Vlog Series – Episode 3

Mayweather vs. McGregor Embedded

We see some training, press conferences and more in Episode 3.

We’re back with Mayweather vs. McGregor Embedded Episode 3. Conor does some light work outs at the UFC Performance Center and then heads home. We see him arrive and leave again shirtless in a green Lamborghini. The next scene we see Conor arrive at the T-Mobile Arena for the official “Arrival” of Conor and Floyd.  The two camps get into a bit of a scuffle and cooler heads eventually prevail.

We see Floyd speaking to the media and says what he’s going to do Saturday night. Conor then speaks to the media before being distracted by Paulie Malignaggi. Those two get into a bit of a heated discussion.  All in all, it’s just another Tuesday in Las Vegas.

Conor McGregor and Pauli Malignaggi feud escalates face to face

Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi

Pauli just kept repeating, did you bring your balls, Conor? It seems as if Paulie Malignaggi working as an analyst doing the broadcast of the McGregor vs. Mayweather fight at this point is dubious at best. How in the world can he be expected to show any level of unbiased commentary when he clearly can’t … Read moreConor McGregor and Pauli Malignaggi feud escalates face to face

Dana White says Conor gave Paulie a “One Sided Beating.”

Dana White

Dana says it’s good Paulie left the camp, for the sake of “his health.”

Dana White decided to speak to the fine folks at Sky Sports about the footage Dana released from the sparring session between Conor and Paulie Malignaggi. He said that it was a “One sided beating”, and that Conor was the hammer. He also said Paulie was lying about everything from the sparring match so he released some footage to set things right.

Dana also said he has no problem releasing the entire 12 rounds to prove his point.  However, Conor doesn’t want Floyd to see everything he’s been working on. The bottom line is that Conor is going to step into the boxing ring in less than two weeks and the proof will undoubtedly be in the pudding.

Paulie has already stated he wants to fight Conor after Conor fights Floyd Mayweather. It’s just adding to the circus that this whole situation has become.

Here’s what we know for sure about the sparring match. Paulie was either knocked down or pushed down, depending on how big a Conor fan you are. Everything else, smoke and mirrors. Here’s Dana talking courtesy of the fine folks at BestofMMA.

Video of Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi released

Conor McGregor

Those of you who see a knockdown, want to see a knockdown.

Ever since Paulie Malignaggi and Conor McGregor sparred in Las Vegas for the second time, things have been crazy. Paulie felt “set up” by the session and denied claims of being knocked down in sparring. Conor said he dominated Paulie and sent him out with his tail between his legs.

Paulie immediately quit working with Conor, calling him cheap, saying he felt used, and since then had made the media circle telling anyone who will listen just what he thinks of McGregor. Some video of the two sparring has been posted.  Included is the contested “knock down.” We’ll show it to you guys and let you make your own decisions.

For me, that’s not a knockdown. It’s a slip/shove that results in Paulie hitting the canvas. The sad bottom line is what happens in sparring should stay in sparring, but the lines are blurred and rules don’t apply for this whole circus cash grab.  We’re two short weeks away from Conor McGregor making his professional boxing debut against arguably the best boxer of our generation. Get your popcorn ready!

Thanks to Dana White and the Bleacher Report for posting the video clips.

Malignaggi on Conor: He whimpers like a girl when he gets ripped to body

Conor whimpers like a girl

Now that Paulie Malignaggi has left Team McGregor, the gloves are officially off. After Team McGregor released photos that made Paulie look bad, he began his ‘tell-all’ tour. Just another day in the May/Mac circus

Less than an hour ago, our very own Dan Rose posted an article about Paulie Malignaggi’s  unhappiness with the McGregor camp. They released photos that didn’t tell the real story from Conor and Paulie’s sparring session. Paulie took exception to their marketing tactics and just like that, he called it quits.
