Stipe says he beats DC 9 out of 10 times. DC laughs him off.

It’s a typical exchange between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic, folks. Stipe makes a very reassuring video about how he’s the better fighter between him and Daniel Cormier. Then, Daniel Cormier laughs it off. 9 times out of 10 I beat DC. Everyone knows it. DC knows it. No heavyweight has ever accomplished what I … Read moreStipe says he beats DC 9 out of 10 times. Firefighter Stipe Miocic posts tribute regarding 9/11

Stipe Miocic

Stipe Miocic remembers those lost on 9/11 in touching tribute 9/11 is a day we all remember differently. I, like everyone else, remember that day vividly and we all remember our experiences associated with it. I was a real estate appraiser at the time and went through multiple houses that day, and saw how those … Read moreFirefighter Stipe Miocic posts tribute regarding 9/11

Stipe Miocic wins the internet with low key burn on DC and the UFC

Stipe Miocic

Stipe Miocic laid in wait for his moment to pound, and pounce he did! There has been a lot of chat surrounding whether or not former Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will get an immediate rematch after his controversial split decision loss to Henry Cejudo. Henry indicated he was down to run it back, but Dana … Read moreStipe Miocic wins the internet with low key burn on DC and the UFC

Stipe is the most accomplished HW. Cain is the greatest. So says DC.

It’s no secret how Daniel Cormier feels about Cain Velasquez. He has said time and again that he feels Cain is the greatest heavyweight to ever walk the Earth. Stipe Miocic had himself a hell of a run in the heavyweight division, but DC doesn’t feel that makes him the greatest, just the most accomplished.

Many fans are numbers and stats people, so they would disagree with DC. However, I think he has a fair argument. In a similar case, you could argue that Fedor Emelianenko is the greatest heavyweight ever. Both stats and skill attribute to the makings of who the greatest is. I personally feel that Fedor is the best heavyweight and possibly the greatest fighter ever. What it comes down to, is just personal preference.

In DC’s case, his opinion is that Cain is the GOAT. He may very well be correct. It just depends on if stats or skills are your preference.

Stipe Miocic not at all happy with Brock Lesnar getting title shot

Stipe Miocic

Stipe called the post-fight antics a “sh*tshow and disrespectful.” Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic spoke to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto and had quite a bit to say about Brock Lesnar cutting to the front of the line for a UFC heavyweight title shot against Daniel Cormier. Stipe was planning on requesting a rematch when he … Read moreStipe Miocic not at all happy with Brock Lesnar getting title shot

UFC 226: The Thrill and the Agony sneak peak video

The Thrill and the Agony

The Thrill and the Agony is one of my favorite video series that the UFC does

UFC 226 was an amazing night for Daniel Cormier and his team, AKA. Relive the amazing moments in UFC 226 The Thrill and the Agony. In this sneak peek, you can see a bit of the post-fight celebration of DC and his teammates, friends, and family. You also see the moment the fight ended from both corner’s perspectives.

The full video will feature multiple fights but this preview focuses on DC. Everything seems to be going DC’s way these days. He’s the Champ-Champ and even broke the dreaded Conan curse. As we reported earlier, DC broke the Conan curse by going on the show and then winning his fight. It’s a curse that fighters like Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, and Nate Diaz all suffered from.

The full-length videos are available on Fight Pass and they are incredible. You can check out a sneak peek below.

Daniel Cormier trips over a speaker and crashes and burns at presser

Daniel Cormier

Thankfully he was able to hobble off the stage and said he’s all good.

Man, things are out of control right now with things in MMA. Max was pulled from the UFC 226 card yesterday and then today, Daniel Cormier took a nasty spill walking from his seat at the press conference. There was genuine concern that he was injured and his fight with Stipe Miocic was in jeopardy. Thank goodness he’s given the all clear, and he’s good to go.

All around good dude, Damon Martin posted a clip of the fall on Twitter. It’s no laughing matter, he took a nasty spill.

Not too much later, DC also took to social media to say he’s good to go.

Yeah, now that he mentions it, what’s the deal with that shirt? Looks like it’s on hooks so he can magically fly away after the photo.

UFC 226 is Saturday night, here’s the latest card.

Stipe in the TMZ studio recalls the first time he got socked in the face

A memory that will last a lifetime is the first time someone socked you in the face. It’s at that moment that the universe decides if you are a man or a mouse. UFC heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, was a mouse.

Like most kids who taste the pain and embarrassment of getting punched in the face for the first time, Miocic ran home crying. This is usually a defining moment where a kid has to decide if he will braid a doll’s hair throughout high school or if they won’t ever take shit from anyone again. Stipe chose to take the face punching as a lesson and, well, he kind of became a badass.

Even Stipe says that he probably deserved it and would thank the kid for helping make him who he is today.

I’m sure there were moments in the Francis Ngannou fight that took him back to that moment.

UFC 226 Embedded Ep. 2: Finding ways to relax before the event

UFC Embedded

Fighters are wrapping up their training for UFC 226

This episode opens with a Stipe Miocic training session. It’s the last big workout prior to his fight with Daniel Cormier. His coaches all say he’s had an incredible camp, and he looks really ready to go. In order to unwind, we see Stipe walking around a property with a metal detector and his buddy with a small spade. They walk around and Stipe has his friend dig whenever he feels they might have found something. It doesn’t yield anything. Looks fun though.

Next up we head to Daniel Cormier’s home and he is packing up to leave for Las Vegas. He kisses his kids, and he’s out the door. The team heads to the airport pose for a group photo and just like that, their next stop is Las Vegas.

We find ourselves in Torrence, CA with Brian Ortega next. He’s at his childhood home with his parents and shows us a cool little fort structure his dad built him when he was a kid. You really get a sense of who Brian is and where he came from.

Francis NGannou is in Las Vegas trying on MMA gloves for his fight. He visits with Megan Olivi and a UFC cameraman, Mike Roach. He’s really likable and nice to everyone. He does a photo shoot with Roach and looks massive.

Max Holloway hangs out at the UFC offices and shows off his new shirt. It’s pretty cool. He then stops and chats with Brad Tavares on his way out.

From the UFC

On Episode 2 of UFC 226 Embedded, heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic finishes his training camp but continues his hunt for gold. His opponent and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier packs for fight week. Featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega gives a tour of his childhood home.

In Las Vegas, heavyweight Francis Ngannou checks in, while featherweight champion Max Holloway connects with The Ultimate Fighter Finale headliner and fellow Hawaiian Brad Tavares.

UFC 226 Embedded Ep. 1 -Living a life close to normal

UFC 226 Embedded

The fighters are getting ready to travel to Las Vegas for UFC 226

It’s that time again, the UFC has begun producing their Embedded series for UFC 226. In this episode we see the fighters living their lives as normally as possible heading into massive fights. Brian Ortega is surfing, DC is on the soccer field, Stipe is putting together a playpen and Max is dealing with the Las Vegas heat. You know, just a day in the life type stuff.

Stipe might just be low-key the funniest guy in the UFC. Little comments like “Milk was a bad choice”, from Anchorman was solid. Anyone who quotes Will Ferrall is alright by me. His wife asking him, “Why can’t you be normal?” after he kicks the box the playpen came in was also pretty good. His response, “Ok, I love you. Teamwork makes the dream work.”  He’s simply hilarious without being all upfront about it.

Brian Ortega seems like a really interesting guy as well, and can absolutely belt a verse of La Bamba with the best of them. I like Brian and I feel like he has a unique perspective and style about MMA and his life. It’s pretty refreshing.

On Episode 1 of UFC 226 Embedded, featherweight champion Max Holloway adjusts to the heat of Las Vegas, while 205-pound champion Daniel Cormier adjusts to working out at his new size. Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic risks life and limb to assemble his soon-to-be-born daughter’s playpen.

Featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega juggles training, surfing, music, and karma. Holloway puts in time at the UFC Performance Institute, and Cormier spends time on the soccer field.
