Tim Kennedy has strong feelings about Colin Kaepernick Nike deal

kennedy-strong-feelings-colin-kaepernick-nike

Boy, did I see this one coming from a mile away. You just knew that when it was reported that Colin Kaepernick inked a multi-million dollar deal with Nike, people were going to lose their minds. Kaepernick is the face of their latest advertising campaign and half of Americans can barely contain their ire.

The campaign’s message is,

“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

Immediately, veterans chimed in and claimed that Kaepernick knows nothing about real sacrifice, etc. Former UFC fighter, Tim Kennedy, is one of those being outspoken about it and says many of his brothers-in-arms are on the same page as him.

We’ve seen people burning their Nike’s and cutting the labels off of their clothes in protest of Kaepernick’s protests. People have very strong opinions on the subject and there looks to be no agreement in sight about ‘kneeling’ during the National Anthem during sporting events.

Nike is all in with their support for Kaepernick. This ensures that people like Tim Kennedy will continue to speak out with strong opinions on the matter.

Tim Kennedy and his pals spend the day Waterboarding

Tim Kennedy

It wasn’t all bad, the fellas had delicious Elk Tacos after the Waterboarding

How did you spend your Friday? Long day at the office? Maybe a hike ahead of your Mother’s Day buffet on Sunday? Well, Tim Kennedy and his buddies decided to Waterboard each other as a show of support for Trump’s pick to lead the CIA, Gina Haspel. She’s come under fire for using torture including waterboarding.

I mean, I get what they are trying to convey, but it sounds like torture to me. Listen to Tim’s own explanation of the experience of being waterboarded by friends in a controlled atmosphere.

“They wouldn’t tell me when they were going to put the towel on they would just smash it on my face and start pouring. You can’t hold your breath while they do it because the water runs down your sinuses. The water run through your eyes, down your nose, and pools at the back of your throat.”

That sounds all kinds of horrible. Then again, I am nowhere near as tough as Tim Kennedy. I spent my Friday writing a few articles and going for a nice walk at the local outlet mall. I had ice cream. So yeah, we are almost the same person.

Tim Kennedy re-enlists. “God put me on the planet for this reason”.

Tim Kennedy re-enlists. "God put me on the planet for this reason".

Tim Kennedy is over the moon about re-enlisting. Kennedy tells us why he is so excited to get back out and serve his country under new management.

“God put me on the planet for this reason. I’m decent at that stuff (MMA), but I’m really really good at this. There’s nothing like doing what you love to do when you have the support, excitement, and encouragement of your seniors.”

Kennedy goes on to say that it isn’t Donald Trump that is motivating him, rather the people he has hired.

“When Donald Trump starts putting guys like General Mattis and General McMaster in my chain of command… DUDE! Let me tell you how good my life is about to get!!!”

You have to be a serious combat junkie if you can get THAT excited about war.

Greg Jackson | His Regiment in Training MMA Fighters | Sports Documentary Films

Greg Jackson | His Regiment in Training MMA Fighters | Sports Documentary Films

Greg Jackson (born 1974) is an American mixed martial arts (MMA) trainer who co-owns Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico,[1][2] widely considered the top MMA training camp in the world.[3][4][5][6] Jackson has trained many successful fighters, including current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm, former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans, and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. Jackson was born in Washington D.C. to Kris and Jim Jackson, who were Quakers originally from the Midwest. Jackson and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when he was three years old. Jackson came from a family of wrestlers (his father, brother, and uncle were all champions in the sport) and he also grew up in a rough neighborhood. Because he needed to learn how to defend himself, Jackson began learning martial arts.
