Former UFC fighter Terry Etim involved in a traffic incident in Liverpool

Terry Etim seemingly ran in and out of traffic, bouncing himself off of cars and buses

Our thoughts go out to Terry Etim today as he was apparently involved in a situation in Liverpool, England that saw him injured while running in and out of traffic eyewitness reports indicate.  It is believed that he jumped from a vehicle he was riding in with friends, and began running in and out of traffic, bouncing himself off of cars and buses that were in the area.

One of the vehicles was said to be moving at the time Etim threw himself against it.  He was badly injured and witnesses explain it as a bloody situation with Etim covered in blood.  An off-duty nurse ran into a store to retrieve towels to attempt to stem the bleeding.

At one point his friends were able to reach him and hold him on the ground. However, he broke away and continued to slam himself against vehicles.  The incident took place just after 2 PM local time.  He is said to be hospitalized in serious condition at this time.

Terry Etim was a successful fighter with a record of 16-5 who was with The UFC until his release in 2013. He competed once, winning for Bellator in 2013, which was the last time he fought professionally.

We once again hope Terry has a full recovery and send best wishes to his friends and family.
