Tonya Evinger was injured and forced out of the fight with Marion Reneau
Tonya Evinger was set to re-enter the Octagon for the first time since losing Featherweight title shot against Cris Cyborg. She made the announcement of the injury via her Twitter, but did not and has not specified with the injury is. She was supposed to fight on February 18th in Austin, TX. Here’s what Tonya had to say regarding the injury.

I’m just not ready to talk bout it all, I’m heartbroken and have nvr had an injury this bad. It’s been an emotional wk for me and I’ve been crying over this for 4 days now so just give me a min to process everything and figure out what I’mma do.

Word has since come out that Sara McMann will be taking Tonya’s place against Marion Reneau but the fight will take place in Orlando, FL as part of the UFC on FOX 28 card on February 24th.
