Ultimate Fighting Champion Tyron Woodley takes his fans with him as he spends time with his family and community. Tyron stops by a homeless shelter to help out with the less fortunate. He talks McGregor and works on FOX. Check out what the champ does in between fighting camps.
Tyron excelled at the University of Missouri where he was awarded first Big 12 Champion in Mizzou’s history, and was named a two-time wrestling All American.
Following his amazing wrestling career, Tyron dove right into the world of mixed martial arts. His MMA career began with an impressive 7-0 record, with all bouts ending by KO or submission.
In 2009 Tyron made his debut with Strikeforce in front of a hometown crowd, with a win by submission in the first round. Following the victory, he signed a multi fight deal with Strikeforce where he has rattled off 7 consecutive wins.
After defeating Paul Daley he moved up to Strikeforce’s number one contender for the Welterweight title.
Despite his first career loss in a world championship fight against Nate Marquardt, Tyron put out a strong performance and soon made his way into the UFC.
In his UFC debut, Tyron executed an impressive 36-second KO of Jay Heiron – and put the welterweight division on notice.
He is now the UFC Welterweight Champion and one of the biggest names in the sport.
