In the company’s first show sans Goldie, UFC opts for 3 man announce team
UFC 208 will be the first PPV event held, since longtime UFC play by play announcer Mike Goldberg left. There has been a bunch of speculation of who would exactly fill that role going forward. There’s a lot of chatter that it could be Jim Rome, and a host of others. The UFC hired Todd Grisham, former WWE and ESPN announcer, and featured the duo of Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier at last night’s UFC Fight Night 103 broadcast.
For UFC 208, Anik and Cormier will be joined by longtime color analyst Joe Rogan. The three will call the action together, which should be interesting. Ariel Helwani tweeted out the news on the three man broadcast team.
Lost in that UFC 208 talk was the announcement that they will be doing a 3-man booth for UFC 208. Anik, Rogan and DC. Great idea, IMO.
