Big Light Heavyweight rematch set for UFC 210 in Buffalo

Daniel Cormier and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will run it back at UFC 210 in Buffalo

Daniel Cormier is going to go one on one with Anthony Johnson in April in Buffalo as the feature fight of UFC 210.  It is a rematch, as the two met back at UFC 187.  In that fight, Cormier submitted Johnson via choke midway through round 3.  Ariel Helwani reported the fight via twitter and at MMA Fighting.

Cormier (18-1) is returning from a groin injury that forced him out of a fight with Johnson at UFC 205.  Daniel Cormier missed out on a fight with Jon Jones at UFC 200 when Jones was suspended and removed from the card. Daniel Cormier defeated Anderson Silva at UFC 200 in a replacement bout.  Cormier’s long defeat in his outstanding career came to Jon Jones.

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (22-5) has the heaviest hands in MMA. Rumble can knock anyone out with either hand, with a single strike.  He has just unthinkable punching power and that makes him dangerous in every single fight.  Johnson connected with a shot that dropped Cormier in their first fight, so the potential for the knockout is definitely there.

UFC 210 takes place in April live from Buffalo, NY.  There is one other fight announced for the event, featuring Middleweights Chris Weidman and Gegard Mousasi.
