Dana White said police are involved with the situation.
A scary situation for some UFC employees in Brazil as they were held at gunpoint and robbed of some of their personal belongings yesterday. Brett said some of what he’s hearing from those involved is pretty scary. Of course, being robbed at gunpoint is bound to be a scary situation. Dana White spoke to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto and he posted the following to his Twitter account.
Just spoke to UFC president Dana White about an incident that is apparently ongoing right now in Brazil. White was just told several employees and others associated with UFC 224 were held up at gunpoint near the host hotel in Rio. No one hurt. Police involved now.

The robbery occurred on Barra da Tijuca beach near a UFC tented area. It happened at dawn and employees lost their wallets, purses and cell phones. The beach is located right across the street from the Windsor Marapendi hotel where the employees and fighters are staying this week.
The three robbers left in a waiting car which tends to indicate this was a planned robbery and not just something that happened. It’s an unfortunate situation.
Somewhere Colby Covington is sitting with a smug smile.
