UFC Middleweight division getting sorted out a bit, possibly?

Ariel Helwani is dropping knowledge regarding the Middleweight division.

One of the most trusted and knowledgeable insiders in MMA, Ariel Helwani put out a couple of tweets that seem to shine some light on the muddled UFC Middleweight division.  It seems as if Michael Bisping is injured, and will not be able to face Romero anytime soon. He seems pretty dedicated to facing GSP, possibly in November in New York City.

That said, it seems more and more likely that Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker will be meeting for an interim title in the near future. Some people aren’t thrilled with the notion of this interim title belt, but as Ariel said, it moves the division along, we get a great fight, and the fighters get paid. What’s not to like?

Ariel was also asked about who that leaves for Luke Rockhold, and it seems Gegard Mousasi is resigning with the UFC and that fight has been offered.

It looks like the UFC is moving forward with the Middleweight division, as so many had hoped. It seems like we’ll see Romero face Whittaker and then Bisping take on GSP. The winners will meet to solidify the undisputed champion, with the winner of Luke Rockhold and Gegard Mousasi waiting in the wings.  Now that we have all of that clear, let’s see how it all actually plays out.
