UFC on FOX 24 gets two feature bouts added to Kansas City card

On April 15th Kansas City plays host to UFC on FOX 24, today the main event and co main event were announced

The Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO will play host to UFC on FOX 24 on April 15th.  Two monster fights have been announced to headline the card.  Renan Barao will clash with Doo Ho Choi in the main event.  In the co main event, Michelle Waterson will take on Rose Namajunas.  Both are excellent fights, and are highly anticipated.

Michelle Waterson (14-4)  is a star who continues to rise in popularity.  She’s coming off of a brilliant first round submission victory over Paige VanZant.  She is very popular and could become one of the biggest stars in the UFC, if she’s able to get it done in the cage. She’s only defeated one fighter in the top ten, and it feels like she’s being rushed a bit.

Rose Namajunas (5-3)  is considerably better than her record would indicate. She is a tremendous striker, and is very well versed in submissions as well.  She is coming off of a tough loss to Karolina Kowalkiewicz but previous to that loss, she won three consecutive fights in the UFC. Her and Michelle Waterson should be a very interesting fight.

Doo Ho Choi (14-2) is coming off of a fight of the year clash with Cub Swanson.  Choi lost that fight, but added to his fanbase with an incredible performance.  He won his first three UFC fights all by first round knockout before his loss to Cub Swanson.

Renan Barao (34-4)  is a former UFC Bantamweight champion who has run into a bit of a rough patch lately.  He has lost three of his last five, twice to TJ Dillashaw and once to Jeremy Stephens.  He’s one of the most talented fighters on the roster and will be a massive test for Choi.
