UFC on FOX 25 overnight ratings are worst in series history

Seems as if people didn’t tune in, they missed some good stuff.

The UFC has not been hitting home runs in the ratings as of late. The UFC on FOX 25 overnight ratings are in, and the’re low. It seems like 1.64 million people tuned in, which would signify the worst overnight ratings ever on the network. The card had a strong main event, with former champion Chris Weidman taking on surging talent Kelvin Gastelum.

The overnight ratings are not a complete view of the situation, they measure 2-hour time slots across time zones. The complete ratings will likely be available tomorrow of the next day and should represent a higher number. That said, the overnights are comparatively low.The UFC will certainly be hoping the trend ends at UFC 214 when they roll out Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones, the most anticipated fight this year in MMA.

The buyrate for UFC 213 was very low as well. Dave Metzer reported that it may very well be as low as 125-150 thousand buys. It should be interesting to see how the PPV buyrates rebound for the loaded UFC 214 card this weekend.
