This fight would be pretty interesting.
Vitor Belfort took to Instagram yesterday to indicate he’s signed a bout agreement to fight Uriah Hall on January 14th, 2018. There is currently not an announced card for that date, but it could be forthcoming.
Vitor Belfort (26-13) won his last fight against Nate Marquardt at UFC 212. Prior to that fight, he lost three of his previous four bouts. His losses came to talented fighters Jacare Souza, Chris Weidman and Gegard Mousasi. He has however defeated Dan Henderson twice as well as former champion Luke Rockhold and current champion Michael Bisping previous to that.
Uriah Hall (13-8) came into the UFC with a ton of upside. He had a lot of hype around him due to his performance on The Ultimate Fighter. He’s lost three of four fights but is coming off of a win against Krzysztof Jotko. Previous to that he lost to Gegard Mousasi, Derek Brunson, and Robert Whittaker.
Here’s what Vitor had to say via Instagram.
I just signed my bout agreement for January 14th at UFC. I always looked for big challenges and in my last UFC fight it couldn’t be different… @uriahhall it’s a honor to share the cage with a such young and talented fighter. Thanks for accepting the fight!
