Chris Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold is official for UFC 230!

The UFC made the announcement during the UFC 229 PPV telecast!

UFC 230 is starting to look crazy! The main card is absolutely loaded with great fights. You can officially add the rematch between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold to the mix. Already announced for the card we’ve got the return of Nate Diaz taking on Dustin Poirier. Israel Adesanya and Derek Brunson will settle their beef as well. Jacare Souza will attempt to get back in the title picture when he faces David Branch. Bananas!

Chris Weidman (14-3) went through a slide when he lost three consecutive fights. He lost to Rockhold, Yoel Romero and Gegard Mousasi before rebounding with a victory over Kelvin Gastelum in his last outing. He’s a great wrestler and is one of those guys who does everything well. He will be looking for revenge and to climb the ladder when he meets Rockhold at MSG.

Luke Rockhold (16-4) has lost two of three, dropping fights to Yoel Romero and Michael Bisping. He defeated Chris Weidman via stoppage back at 194 and beat David Branch two fights ago. He’s going to be in great shape and he’s another fighter who just does everything so well. Plus, he trains harder than anyone I know. Dude just works hard.

I can’t wait to see this crazy night of fights. UFC 230 takes place November 3rd live from Madison Square Garden.
