Would these WWE stars make the jump from the squared circle to the octagon?

Quite often we hear mixed martial arts and professional wrestling mentioned in the same breath. Recently, as both genres have grown in popularity, we have seen a few high-profile crossovers.

Of course, there is former WWE and UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, who made the switch and conquered both worlds. On the flip side is CM Punk, who made the career shift from pro wrestling to MMA, albeit unsuccessfully thus far. Then there’s former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey who appeared alongside The Rock at Wrestlemania 31 to help layeth the smackdown on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Not to be outdone is Conor McGregor who did not hold back on his feelings towards those in the WWE, essentially saying he’d whoop them all.

Recently, TMZ caught up with Wrestlemania 33 hosts The New Day to see if they’d have any interest in making the jump from the squared circle to the octagon. Their response?

According to Big E, the group’s muscle:

“Zero chance. Not a chance. You must be out of your mind.”

During the interview, Conor and his comments were also brought up.  Xavier Woods, who has a masters degree in psychology, broke it down:

“I think the general consensus is what we do are two very different things. And people say what they want to in interviews and things like that. But at the end of the day, we do what we do and he does what he does. You asking this question verifies yes he’s talking about it, get people talking, get a buzz, get a stir going. Good for him.”

The New Day is a positive bunch so it’s no surprise they took the high road regarding Conor.
