Yair Rodriguez was on with the folks from TMZ and they asked if he felt bad for repeatedly kicking legend BJ Penn in the face. Rodriguez naturally said, “No, you can’t feel bad for the guy….you have to keep on kicking him.”  Makes sense.  Up next Yair spoke about what he wants for his future in the UFC. “I’m just waiting for the UFC to tell me who they want me to fight, and let’s take it from there. I’m not scared of nobody, and I am here to fight the best in the world.  When they asked who he’d like to fight, without calling anyone out, he simply said, “The champion.”

Rodriguez has successfully headlined two cards now for the UFC and will undoubtedly be booked in a big fight for his next contest.  He brings a 10-1 record and inside the Octagon, he’s a perfect 6-0.  He won the TUF Latin America show, defeating Leonardo Morales in the final during the UFC 180 event.

Rodriguez is currently ranked #10 in the UFC’s Featherweight rankings, but will undoubtedly be moving up.  Potential opponents for him could include, Anthony Pettis, Jeremy Stephens, Ricardo Lamas or even Frankie Edgar. The sky is the limit for Yair and his amazing fight style. He’s certainly a fan favorite with his unique brand of kick-first offense.
