This would be an interesting fight at 205 pounds.
There have been rumors on a daily basis regarding the main event for UFC 230 in Madison Square Garden. Personally, I feel the UFC is trying to reinvent the wheel as they have a perfectly solid main in Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz. It’s an exciting fight that is both compelling and has a ton of fan interest behind it. All that said, it is looking like they are considering Yoel Romero vs. Alexander Gustafsson at 205 pounds to headline the event.
A report by Ariel Hewani said the fight is under consideration, but not yet signed. I’ll be completely honest, while it’s a fight I’d be down to watch, I am more amped at the prospect of Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier. There is just no way that fight can disappoint.
UFC seriously discussing booking Yoel Romero vs. Alexander Gustafsson at light heavyweight for the MSG card on 11/3, according to multiple sources. The fight isn’t finalized, though. A title would be on the line with both interim and official options discussed.

There have also been a lot of rumors swirling about Jon Jones since he’s able to return to the cage at the end of October. That said, it’s more likely that he’ll make his return in December.
